Family Eucharist with Bishop John Hind

At our Family Eucharist on Sunday 21st September 2008, our Diocesan Bishop, the
Bishop of Chichester The Right Reverend John Hind was our president and
preacher. The Bishop was assisted by Fathers Andrew and Ray and the servers as
we celebrated the life and witness of St Matthew and the work of a Bishop.
The children from Nyewood Infant and Junior Church led various bits of our
service. The Junior School, under the direction of Jane Wells explored what the
children thought a Bishop did. It was very interesting that the children thought
the Bishop told clergy off! The Infant School, under the direction of Jacqui
Cobb led the Intercessions praying for the Bishop and all who lead the church.
After the service, the Bishop joined members of the congregation for a
buffet-style lunch. Our thanks to Anne Latter and the Wives Group for organising
the food.
