House Groups

St Wilfrid's Church has two groups meeting regularly; each with a regular membership of 10-12 people. The meetings are fortnightly and members will be studying either a printed Bible- based course or choosing a particular Bible study agreed by the members. Both groups have had additional new members joining recently.

The Monday afternoon group meets from 2-4pm at Abbeyfield, 9-17 Richmond Road, Bognor Regis on the second and fourth weeks in the month.

The group are having an Advent Away Day- of quietness, bible- study, prayer then shared lunch and Communion  at Walberton Parish Church on Monday 30th November. This  will complete the  Autumn session studying  Peter 's  first letter, where they have found that so much of Peter's letter to young churches still applies to our Christian living  today.

The programme is led by different members by agreement each session.

After discussion there are prayers, intercession or meditation, again prepared by a volunteer.

Tea is then provided and discussion continues more informally around members’ experiences and future plans for the group may be discussed or church and parish issues of the day.

Any newcomers are welcomed and lifts to the meeting can be offered.

The Thursday evening group meets at 7.15pm in different members homes every fortnight. The meetings are very informal and start with refreshments and chat before having a prayer or meditation.

At present the group are studying the Sunday sermon (through the recorded podcast) and then discuss and ponder the three readings for that Sunday.
