Pilgrimage to Our Lady of Walsingham

What is Walsingham?

Walsingham is a medieval village in North Norfolk. Up to the 15th century it was an important place of pilgrimage, the site of a vision of the Virgin Mary by the lady of the manor. Henry viii sacked the priory and pilgrimages ceased, until 1921 when Fr. Hope Patten revived the pilgrimages.

It is a place of peace and prayer, fun and laughter, fellowship and time with God. Those who have been well know the feeling of well-being and joy with which they leave. It is a place not of curing but of healing.
