Keith was the eldest son of Abe and Margaret Bradbury, he attended Colebrook School on the Seafront (an area now long demolished). He and his brothers Philip and Leonard were all choir boys in St.John's and later St.Wilfrid's church, and his mother a member of the Mother's Union. Keith married Winifred Macmillan in St. John's church in September 1938 and very shortly afterwards was called up as a Territorial in the Sussex Yeomanry - was soon home but was called in to the Royal Artillery in September 1939. He served in France and was a Dunkirk survivor, ultimately he became a Regimental Sergeant Major. In private life he worked for West Sussex County Council in the Health dept. And cycled to Chichester and back daily for many years. In July 1948 he was transferred to the NHS in the admin branch in Chichester where he remained until his retirement. His faith and particularly St.Wilfrid's were very important to him and he attended as long as he was able, then became a home communicant. He had a very good rapport with Fr. Roger and more recently with Fr. Bill and was very fond of them both and looked forward to their visits. Ill health had dogged him over recent years but he bounced back. I visited him on Dec 31st and he was mentally alert at nearly 93. His niece Alison visited most days; shopped and provided some meals and dealt with day to day problems after his wife died in 1995, and was a source of great strength to him as he lived alone in his Southdown Road home to the end. He was admitted to hospital on January 15th and died the next day. He is survived by his youngest brother Leonard who lives in Africa. May he rest in peace. Joan Tailby
